DOO to Launch MK Lab
An AI Innovation Space in Honor of Its Late Co-Founder, Mohammed Alkhabbaz
Manama, Bahrain – January 15, 2026
DOO announced today that it will launch MK Lab, a new AI innovation space scheduled to open in Q2 2026, created in honor of the company's late co-founder, Mohamed Alkhabbaz. The initiative aims to advance AI education, applied innovation, and community-driven collaboration across the region.
MK Lab will include MK Academy, which will offer structured programs designed to help students, professionals, founders, and career-switchers develop practical AI skills through hands-on learning and real-world use cases.
The space will also host AI hackathons, innovation competitions, workshops, talks, and community meetups, alongside talent development and mentorship initiatives.
As part of the MK Lab initiative, DOO is also producing a documentary exploring the life, work, and vision of its late co-founder, to be released alongside the MK Lab launch.
"MK Lab is our way of turning loss into purpose. It is built to honor our late co-founder by continuing what he believed in most: learning, building, and giving people the tools to shape the future through AI."
— Ali Mohsen, Co-Founder of DOO
